How do you access the rear window regulator? Frorm looking at online parts drawings it seems you go through the trunk.

I brought this car home yesterday and the window is stuck partially open.

Just wanted to check before I tear things apart.

 

Yes you go through the trunk, you remove all the covering and crap then the insides will be exposed

 

cool when I get of work I'll at least be able to keep the stray cats out

 

For anyone coming across this this answer is wrong.

You access it through the passenger compartment.

 

i think you could from the trunk too, so I've heard.

 

not getting to it from trunk without a torch.

View from inside. The regulator and glass are mounted to the other side of the black panel. Removing the 10mm bolts around the edge releases the entire assembly.



BTW I found a broken cable.

 

interested in what you did with that broken cable. my sol the window is stuck up and i got a busted cable. were you able to replace just the cable or did you have to do the whole mechanism?im semi lucky(at the cost of rigidity) old owner chopped out a good square foot n a half section from the trunk so i can actually see in from there. but no way i can replace the whole mecanism from there, wont fit out.
