1991 accord miss fire
Im sorry if this is already posted
I have checked and got nothing on this subject
I own a 91 accord ex coupe with a 5 speed, mileage is 160k
It is not firing on number 2 cylinder-
It has been running this way for a while from what I'm told ( just got the car )
It does not smoke or over heat- just sounds like a Subaru when running, i do know its the number 2 cylinder, head gasket, tune up????
Any input would be great-- thanks

Did you check for spark? If there is no spark in just that cylinder i would replace the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs.

sounds like no compression when i start it- but it does run
just on 3 cylinders- no oil in the water or over heating
How do you know it's the #2 cylinder if you haven't checked for a spark? Is the spark plug fouled or something?
Use a long screwdriver against your ear to listen to the injectors working, and see if they all sound the same.
A compression test would be very important to diagnose this problem.

Follow the wire from spark plug to cap pull off of distributor while running (don't pull coil wire it will shock the $?!! Outa you trust me) if no fire replace plug no fire replace wire if still doesn't fire replace distributor if still no fire check compression although it should fire regardless of compression if new plug fires then goes bad check injector make sure you have fuel and lastly the three rules my dad always told me fire, fuel and compression car won't run without 1 of three that has nothing to do with your problem but easy to remember when you run into problems and check your gas cap make sure it seals properly could of got water into # 2 and fouled plug

Think that will do it?
I wasn't thinking about checking the timing belt
Though I'm not that great when it comes to that type of stuff
I did pull the wire from the cap while it was running and there was spark from the dizzy
