Default civic help

I have 2 qestion 1. does anyone know where the brake pedal springs connects on the steering clounm or have any pics. 2. i have a b18a1 and the throttle is loose i dont know if its connected wrong on the gas pedal or what. If anyone has some pics id appricate it need the help

also would the brake return spring if not hooked could that cause the brake light to stay on??????????

If you pull the brake pedal up by hand will the brake lights go off?

Brake switches are usually adjustable. They can be screwed in or out depending on where you want the lights to come on.

As for the brake return spring, the locations where they attached should be noticeable. Look for loops and/or a small hole.

Again, the MM&Y and trim level, auto or 5 speed, would speed things up considerably.

I will have to assume, you have a 94 Civic and it's a 5 speed... #20

As mentioned brake switch may be adjustable if needed, it may not be making contact because of missing return spring, [lift pedal to test].

If not one of the above, brake pin switch "plug" is missing/broken. 94

Check the tension of your throttle cable (located on your intake manifold) if it's loose you should be able to tighten it.
