WTB: itr calipers and 23t bracket
These are actually pretty affordable to just buy new (reman) from RockAuto. I usually see used ones selling for only slightly less than you can get the reman ones. That's what I did for my recent brake upgrade. Just a thought. good luck.
OP. Go to ProPartsUSA.com they have a complete package, remand ITR calipers, rotors and pads starting at $150, prices go up from there depending on rotor and pad package.
I wish I had better feedback but for me it's sorta comparing apples to oranges. I went from stock sized Integra brakes w/ Hawk HP+ (street) pads to ITR calipers and Mini rotors with Hawk Blue (race) pads. The pads are a huge variable obviously.
I was having a lot of problems with my brakes overheating but probably could have gotten away with simply upgrading to race pads. But I wasn't sure so didn't want to spend $150 on pads only to have the same overheating and still need a new brake upgrade. Overall I'm very happy though. I don't like how the Mini rotors don't fit well over the lug studs but it's a small price to pay to not have to fork over the $$ for redrilled ones.
If your wheels will allow, I'd consider even larger brakes with the S2000 calipers. The ITR calipers are HEAVY and from what I hear the S2000 units are a bit lighter.
I wish I had known about that ProParts deal, I would have called them for sure to see if they could get me what I needed for a similar price.

Slowb16a, sorry for the threadjack...
typerfit, what pads you run is dependent on what you want to get out of them. Rotors are all the same IMO. You're not going to see any performance benefit between a high end rotor and a low end rotor. Generally the only guys running fancy rotors are hardparkers, if you race your car and care about performance then you're probably buying cheap rotors since you're going to wear them out so fast.
Yes, Mini rotors are hubcentric, so there's no worry of them not centering. They just don't stay in place when you're working on the brakes. Just a minor inconvenience but stuff like that bugs me, same way it bugs me when people use aftermarket fasteners on their cars. If I had a 13mm bolt head on my car I'd constantly feel like my car was ghetto, lol.

Brakes are the last thing I need to finish before I do some track days. This is and never will be a race car, more a car that I want to enjoy driving, sometimes spirited. I understand what you are saying about using blanks for track days because of replacement costs. Have you used slotted on the track? Did you see any difference in heat dissipation? Pad wear? But hey, slotted do look snazzy. Hopefully at most I would go through a set of rotors 1 time a year.
