Icon2 97Accord hub to rotor bolt stripped HELP!!!

while i was changing my wheel bearing i kinda stripped a bolt.. the hub bolts that goes into the rotor....does anyone have an idea on how i can get that bolt out without drilling.....

Lucky you.. the bolt isnt completly stripped.. just the corners arent as flat

If you wanted to you could make a slot deep enough for a flat head screw driver to fit. Then just unscrew the bolt

were you using a 12 point socket? if so stop doing that. i would try a good solid 6 point (impact preferred) socket and work it from there. that tool kit the other guy posted is nice, i have used a similar one with some success before.

looks like you can still use a 6 point socket to get it out, if it doesnt work bolt extractor does wonders... gl

actually i used a 6 point socket but then kinda not align it too good thats probably why.....but i was thinking if i couldn't get it out i might as well weld a nut on and unscrew it.....

I have a similar bolt/nut extractor set from Sears like the one go-part posted and the few times I've needed to use it it's worked great.

Will that kit work if the head is completely stripped? I have 3 of these bolts that are stripped out completely, I used an electric impact on them and they didn't budge.

So let me get this straight, you can't use that kit if the bolt head is completely stripped?
