Yes I unfortunately suffer everywhere I go, due to to the loudness of my exhaust. I mean LOUD. I just bought the car. Its a 97 teggy gs with a B18B jdm motor swap.... It has a header and from what I can tell, no resonator. also a carbonfiber can. Not sure about brand names or model numbers as of right now because I bought it yesterday. Maybe this weekend I can finagle a way to fit a jack up under it and see whats going on under there... either way something has to happen.. So are there any suggestions on making my **** not scream "pull me over" at 2k RPM's?

Any and all help will be appreciated.

From what you can tell? It either does or does not.

Verify that the parts are or are not installed. No one can help you until you do. Then replace that flashy Ebay crap with something quieter. Stock would be the quietest. if you don't want stock then head over to Youtube and listen to some video clips.

Lastly, obtain a manual for your car and start reading some posts in each of the sections to start learning something. No question you have asked or are about to ask is breaking new ground. Someone has asked it before and gotten answers.

Add an resonator and a new exhaust can. I just added a dynomax bullet 24" resonator to my Yonaka World Sport-II knock-off which was already quiet but I like stock quite with a little rumble when I get on it. There are alot of options out there so as mentioned just search youtube.

Yeah Im not exactly looking for quiet... but like you said.... I want it to growl up towards redline. I think My cat is rattling and making it buzz around 2500 witch will be fixed... i was just trying to see if I could lower its volume untill next paycheck.

Check out the build thread in my signature. I have a few sound clips of my exhaust. IMO, mine is one of the best sounding Honda's I have heard. I don't have any clips since I put the new resonator on last week. I have less than $350 invested into my exhaust(not including header)

go to autozone and buy a 4-5 inch piece of pipe that fits snug into your muffler and hammer it in.

or find a muffler silencer that fits in it.

thanks.

And HOW did you inspect the car before you bought it? Hm.
Again. No one can tell you what course of action to take until you get your "****" up off the ground and check what you have. What POSSIBLE fix could there be to quiet things down until next payday? Answer? Short of magic, nothing.

That's not a huge issue to me. I enjoy good handling.

Right. I'll get it in the air in the next day or so and post some more information.
I'll check the magic store in the meantime for a solution.

You do that. Come back when you want solutions based in reality.

Alright so........ Got the car up, and found that it is just header, cat , can. I can see some welding points where is looks like it used to have a resonator(bout 18 inches). So here's my next question. I don't mind spending a little money. But money saved would be nice too. I have not a lick of welding knowledge. So I'm not going to attempt to reinstall a resonator myself. Plus I'm not so sure that would do the trick. Any ideas from anyone about what muffler and/or modifications to my exhaust I would need to quiet it down substantially? I can just replace the whole damn exaust if nessicary, but I though I would at least try and get creative with it. Last car I had was a f22a1 prelude witch was very quiet compared to a b18. I mainly don't want it to buzz.

best solution.
in lue of that, inspect the piping, is it mandrel bent? any damage to it? of no and yes, get rid of it and just get a complete system. if you insist on keeping the piping, go to a shop and have them order you a free-flowing resonator (not a cherry bomb, or whatever else name they use), and a good non-canister muffler (i like magnaflow). have them weld it all up.
that said, you will probably save money getting a complete kit from somewhere, instead of patching the mess you have now.
