I got a gsr with b16 trans but my v Tec don't pop I heard a p28 would be good for my gsr and the vtec should open up if I get one

 

the correct ecu for a 94-01 gsr is p72, after that you will see a01 for 94-95, a02 for 96, a03 for 97-99 and a04 for 00-01

you can use a p28 if it has a p72 map burned on it in crome, hondata etc. it's just a more expensive way to go about what you need.

first, find out what ecu is in your car and report back.

vtec not working can be from a variety of things, knock sensor, oil pressure, vtec switch or wiring along with of course the wrong ecu

 

Yea I got a p72 but my car was swapped used to have a Ls now has a gsr

 

Then the vtec wires need to be ran. You have the correct ecu and vtec comes on at 4500 rpm.
