Default doing jdm b16a2 swap...... got a question. (evap related).....

background info:

car: 1998 Civic Hatch DX
motor: 96-98 jdm b16a2.

problem: Ive got everything ready to go, however, there is a hose that comes from the evap container. I am not sure where this goes. We have been using a 00 Si as a reference, however, on the Si it goes from the evap to a sensor on the fuel rail, and then after the sensor goes to a port on top of the intake manifold....

On the jdm motor, there is no sensor on the fuel rail, and no port on the top of the manifold.....

Anyone know where the evap hose needs to go? Thanks!

T it. That hose just needs straight vaccum.. There should be 2 hoses comeing from the evap container. One large one that goes to the top of the TB and the other one that needs vac. Good luck!

You can use the EVAP sensor off your DX motor. It will work fine.

thx.... but talking about a hose, but not a sensor.

We have established that it does not have to be hooked up.

We arent talking about the vacuum line. That hose is hooked up. Its the other hose that runs to the purge valve on the 99/00 Si and thn vents into the IM.....

if that hose is not necessary, should I cap it or let it breathe? Thanks.
