Hi...I'm looking at buying my first EF and it's a Civic 91 2dr with sunroof. The owner doesn't seem to know what trim DX./SI, etc.

So if it's a 91 Civic hatch and has a sunroof, is it almost certain it's an SI? Or can be a dx/etc? It's factory.

yes, factory sunroof is si

 

Just look at the engine. If the block is D16a6 then its Si
if it says Dual point fuel injection then its dx.
Factory sunroof is Garunteed to be Si model.
Just take the vin # and DeVin the numbers. Withing the Vin# itll tell you if its Si or Dx
YOUR VIN SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS _HED734_M_ _ _ _ _ _ _
If its 91 Si

Ok great thanks! I think it's an si too. Hopefully the owner will send me some pics early tom, so I can pick up this baby.

It's non-running right now and surely will take a lot of TLC, but hopefully the body is clean and I can clean it up.

She's selling it for really really cheap with some cash and a little trade.

 

Well whooptido... it is indeed an SI!

There's some cosmetic body damage but nothing really bad. Just tlc here and there and hopefully the non-start issue will be something minor.

Clean title and it appears not involved in accident as all the OEM pinstripes are intact and the front end is very nice.

Lucky, it even has factory rear speaker mounts.

Looks identical to my hatch, even the same damage to the door and fender.

Good find. I'll be doing a roof swap sometime to mine. Aftermarket sunroofs suck.

I've been wanting for an EF si for the longest time. I used to have few EG 4dr ferio, but EF has always a place in my heart for some reason they look very cool from the pictures I saw here.

Not sure on the plans, but I want it very clean maybe some tasteful OEM mods and lower it a little.

 

Driver front seat is shot. But other than that interior is in good shape, just needs a little cleaning and it will be back in business!
