Metal Plate LSD: http://www.teammfactory.com/metal-plate-lsd
Helical LSD: http://www.teammfactory.com/helical-lsd_features
Each has pros/cons, just depends what you will be using your car for, drag or road racing, or just a DD.

I have Cusco plate in my Y1 box, best thing on the car... I DD mine and its no hassle, little heavy when parking as I have no PS, but thats all, and its great on the circuit.
MFactory 4.9 FD next.

personally I'd go for the helical LSD. No clunking and its smooth for a DD and the occasional track. metal plate LSDs lock harder and are quicker to respond. Have a cusco LSD in my EF and IMO it sucks for daily drive. would rather have a helical one instead.

before that, not a single problem. so we took the diff out of a spare b18a1 trans we had lying around and good to go. but hopefully nex week I'll be buying a Wavetrac LSD

I installed a type r lsd diff in my ys1. Pretty much broke a tranny every year, broke
3 diffs and they all put big holes in the cases.
