Default starting issues bad ect?

Hello, i have a 96 civic with a B16A2 swap. (usdm Block with a JDM head) I believe the head is a year 92 or 93 have to double check but i know its a jdm head. Im having some starting issues when i try to start the car. At first i thought it was my main relay that was going bad but i replaced it with a new one and i am still having the same issues all fuses are fine.

I noticed that i have to wait about 5-7 seconds for the fuel pump to prime after turning the key on. if i don't wait it wont start, i have to wait till the engine light comes on and off. I also notice that sometimes when the car is cold i can start the engine fine on the first try. When it is warm it takes longer to start.

Is the ect sensor going bad? if so were can i obtain one for my b16 head is a jdm head.

I believe there are three. Block to chassis, thermo to chassis, and head/VC to chassis.

Are you 100% sure you have a B16A2 head? It did exist 92-93, but I would find the head code just to verify.

Yes, the block is a USDM B16A2 because it has a vin # right under it. The head is a JDM head from a year 1993, as i read the 93 number on the left side of the head.

That just means it was cast in 93, that isn't the head code.

It should be near the date stamp you were looking at. It's usually either a letter followed by two numbers, a dash, and another number or two letters followed by a number, a dash, and another number.

As an example, the second gen B16A is a PR3-4. The 96-00 Civic EX is P2P.
