Running rich, suspecting fuel delivery
So I've got a B18C1 engine that has been running rich for several years and I can't figure out why. I have replaced virtually every aspect of the ignition and I now suspect a fuel delivery issue. Short of shipping my injectors off for testing are there any other options?
The symptoms are a gas smell in the oil, even shortly after changing it. Car will not pass emissions due to high HC @ idle (508 ppm). I also have a black soot collecting in the tailpipe along with catalytic converter failure over time.
Did a compression test yesterday and all cylinders tested @ 180 so I don't think there is any blow-by occurring.

what were the rest of your emissions readings?
high hc alone is not an indication of rich running. it is an indication of fuel not being burnt efficiently.
give me the exact CO2, O2, HC, CO, and NOx readings, if you have them.

There has been no CEL at all through this, which is frustrating. The ECU is just stock, OBD1. Here are the last results:
High Speed
HC=121
CO=1.06
CO2=13.9
Idle
HC=508
CO=1.12
CO2=13.9
There are no NOx readings.
