Icon2 LSVtec timing belt problem HELP!!

whats going on ht, im in the process of putting my lsv together and ran across this problem,if you guys can please help me out mayb one of you had this problem. well, im using a :
2001 ls block
2001 ls water pump 19 teeth nonvtec
2001 ls oil pump 17 teeth nonvtec
2000 gsr head
ls timing belt 125 teeth
and golden eagle cam gears. "if that matters"

well the problem is that the timing belt is to short! looks like its like 4-5 teeth to short. the tenstioner is loose.and moves freely and its still to short,
i was told. if you use a ls water pump you have to use a ls timing belt.
should i try a gsr timing belt? would that throw it off timing or anything along thos lines being that the gsr timing belt has 126 teeth n uses a water pump with 22 teeth?

all feedback welcomed, trying to get this done. thnks H.T

Hey I have the same problem.
The timing belt I never changed on B18B1. I just replaced the head with B16 head and the timing belt is too short by a couple of teeth.

I know the water pump and timing belt are the same because it was all good when the b18 head was on. Tensioner works fine too.

Any ideas?

I'll change timing belt and/or pulley as soon as I get crank wrench, if I don't fix problem.

Well I'm sure it has a ls water pump and timing belt. The funny thing is, when it had the b18b1 head on, everything fit well.
With my b16a head, it didn't fit. Too short.

I put my LS timing belt from my old engine and it fit. Weird... but works
