Default B16a won't start after warmed up

I recently bought a 4 door eg with a b16a in it. The only problem I've had is that after it gets warmed up and then shut off, it won't start until it cools down. But if you try to start it right after you shut it off, it starts right up. The motor is a b16a sir II

And also, the starter does turn over, so it's not that.

I've heard of guys having problems like this if the temp sensor is bad.

+1 if your car behaves differently in different temperatures, it's probably a temperature sensor. If you have any CELs check them.

If the fuel pump won't prime and the CEL stays on steady when the engine won't start, then resolder the main relay and clean/tighten the G101 ground on the thermostat housing.

If none of this works also check to see if the injectors are pulsing once it starts doing this. My injectors had problems but only after the car was warm. Still trying to figure it out but it's looking like its the ecu. Runs perfect until the exact conditions you are specifying here. Mine starts but has a miss.

Thanks guys. The car is on it's way home so I'll be sure to check all of that as soon as it gets here!

One other thing is when it gets warmed up it idles really shitty. It pulses from 1100-1500. It didn't do this at first, but definitely does it now. Lol

Alright, I put a new temp sensor in, resoldered the fuel relay and took the throttle body off and cleaned that..cleaning the IACV as well when I get a chance. It stopped doing the no start for a few days, and now started again. It tries to start when it's almost warmed up, but won't fully turn on until its completely cooled off. When you put in gear and start to go it makes a screeching sound for about 2 seconds. It only does that after the no start, not on cold start.

Screeching sound from where? Belts?
I had hard hot starts until I changed my ECT sensor on my D-series.

I'm not sure where the screeching is coming from. It only does it when I try to start driving after the no start. I already replaced the ect.

did you ever solve this issue? Sounds like I'm having the same problem with my civic.

I'm having similar problems.... was it the Intake Air Temperature sensor or the Water Temperature Sensor? I ordered the latter....

the screeching sounds like an unrelated belt slipping issue. did you clean your fuel injectors? it's easy to do. I removed them and used a big syringe with lacquer thinner and a battery to supply 12v. be careful though because that lacquer thinner is flammable and you are creating a spark.
