Hey guys, I have a 1997 Civic, with Clifford 50.5x, barely used the remote start, and noticed recently that it doesnt work(it used to work). It attempts to start ONCE, but it doesnt crank, just clicks. The purple/white tach wire is connected to the rpm blue wire on the cluster. I relocated the purple/white wire and connected it to one of the injector leads, and i programmed the tach, same result.

I tried the shutdown diagnostics (http://www.directeddealers.com/manua..._05-06post.pdf, page 53) and the LED flashed 6 times. Which shows, (-) Shutdown (H3/4 GRAY) or (+) Shutdown (H3/3 BROWN)

so I double checked the brown brake wire, it was T tapped into the green brake line wire, i removed the T tap and connected it, tried remote starting, and the car CRANKED and it didnt start(my timing?? was delayed due to tuning), but it did this THREE times. I tried pressing it again, it went back to not cranking at all again.... thoughts?

Check your hood pin wire, H3/4 gray.
Have you reprogramed tach?
To learn the tach signal:
1. Start the vehicle with the key.
2. Within 5 seconds, press and HOLD the Valet/Program switch.

A faulty brake light bulbs or in the brake wiring. If your running a ems remote start does not like this. In the likes of aem, motec, neptune cause of the delay of fuel pump. I strongly advise againt remote starting a agressive tuned car.
