Ok well my bro has a 98 civic and he has power wondows but the window goes down and up but he has to manualy push the window up to get it to stay up and if you push down it will go down. My sister had that problem on a jeep and was a plastic piece wearing out. Is this the same? And anybody got pics so we can grab sone tomorrow thanks

You'll be able to tell best when the panel is off. Should only take you ten minutes to pull it off tops. Might not have to replace anything.

 

Yea he doesnt know how to mess wih cars so im helping him out but yea hopefully the window just fell off the rail

 

Sounds like a bad window regulator. But you'll know for sure when the door panel comes off.

 

Ok yea i believe thats what broke on my sisters jeep liberty. Had the base fix it

 

Older Jeeps I've worked on don't use the same style regulator that Honda does.

The regulator on my '00 EX just fell apart at the upper joint near the motor. (see below) It's just a press fit with a washer holding it on a hollow shaft. I put a bolt through the hole and secure it with a nut instead of a washer. Good to go.
