went to my local oreileys and the guy told me this:
-all 4 cylinders are misfiring (p0301 and etc, didnt give me the 2-4 cyl papers just cyl1)
-CKF p1336, told me to replace CKP first of all as it may be causing the rest of the codes?
-P1399 random misfiring


the guy told me to replace the CKP first, and i think i read that that means replacing the WHOLE dizzy? is that right? any insight would help, not much of a car guy but trying to learn

and i must buy a d16y8 dizzy ONLY or can i buy other dizzys lik d16y7's?

Y7 and Y8 dizzys are interchangeable

 

Start by testing the CKF sensor wires.

 

How do I check ckf sensor wires?
Do I need to remove anything or?

1 more question, how do i remove the spark plugs? i unscrewed it, but how do i actually remove it from the cylinder? my fingers too big, pliers wont fit lol.

 

1. Use spark plug wire to "plug" it in and pull it out
2. Use a spark plug socket
3. Use a long magnet
