2000 accord lx and when I press the cruise button on the dash the light does not illuminate. It could be the bulb, but when I engage the cruise on the Steering wheel, the dash lite comes on but the cruise control will not engage. Any help?

 

Sounds like a bad fuse. Here's a guide to where that fuse is located.

Check driver's underdash fuse box fuse no.6 (15A), cruise control main switch (If bulb is good, switch is bad), brake pedal position switch. If manual trans check clutch pedal position switch.
