Cruise control is not working. Did not have a green light on the set switch, replaced this switch and went ahead and replaced the steering switches. I have a green light now when setting the cruise control but the dash indicator does not show anything and cruise will not set.

Check fuse #4 (10A) in the Under Dash Fuse/Relay Box.
Check the brake pedal position switch on the brake pedal, clutch pedal position switch if MT, range position switch if AT, and finally the cruise control unit itself. Could also be a poor ground, bad connection or short in the circuit.

You are correct that the #4 fuse is not for the Cruise Control circuit - sorry about that - that is for a sedan. Check the under-hood fuse/relay box for the cruise control fuse.
Yes to the second question.

Re: 2001 Civic LX coupe
Actually the #4 fuse under the dash does control the cruise control as well as the alternator and several other functions. I found the complete list on another website. I did finally diagnose the actual problem. The far left position sensor on the clutch was not getting depressed when the clutch was released. There is supposed to be some sort of plug in the little hole on the arm of the clutch that pressed the plunger in on the end of the sensor and mine is missing so I made my own plug for the hole. I took a large concrete dry wall anchor and screwed in the screw, then took my dremel tool and cut off all but about 3/8", put it in the hole and secured with a couple wraps of electrical tape. I had to reposition the sensor a little and it worked like a charm.
