1996 Accord won't start, DTC P1381
Not my car, but a friend of mine is having this problem with his.
As the title suggests, it's a 1996 Accord, automatic, 4-cylinder. I checked the DTCs, and P1381 is stored. The repair manual says to check the resistance at the distributor connector, etc, etc, but I'm just wondering if we should just replace the distributor, given the age and mileage of the vehicle. From the looks of the repair instructions, it seems like it's failed, though I feel I should be thorough and run the checks, unless it's a total waste of time to do so.
Of course, he needs to get it running so he can sell it, so if there's a cheaper way to fix this, I'm open to suggestions.

Make sure all battery connections are secure and free of corrosion.
Be sure all distrbuter and the wiring is free of any damage (knicks, cuts, kinks, cracks)
Hopefully this solves the problem your friend is having.
