This is driving me crazy! AC compressor clutch and condenser fan turns on for 15 seconds then turns off until car is restarted. No codes. Had local shop check pressures--all normal. During the 15 seconds, cold air comes out. Cabin blower runs well at all speeds. Any suggestions?

 

Your A/C pressure cycling switch might be defective. That or the system is running low, have it recharged and see if your problem continues.

 

Well, I jumpered the pressure switch plug between Vcc 5 and Vout (the third wire is ground) and still got the same results. I did have a reliable A/C shop check out the freon and high and low pressures and they said that all was well and the problem had to be electical. Did I miss something in my switch test, or could there be another cause?
