Default a/c problem. Possibly pressure switch??

I took my car to an A/C shop to get a hose replaced and the system recharged. Now the A/C works and blows cold air but the car will start to run hot if I leave it on. I checked the fan motor and when I jump power to it it does engage and work fine. The shop said it could be the pressure switch. Can anyone tell me how to check this?

Oh and those of you who saw this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1343997 will know why I am not taking it back to the shop.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does the fan come on by itself? I don't see how it could be the pressure switch, that just keeps the compressor from coming on when there's not enough refrigerant so it doesn't burn up. Stay away from that shop...

I think what is happening is the the fan isnt coming on causing the car to overheat and the compressor to shut off.

That's what it sounds like to me. What kind of car is it? Check the relay for the fan, and see if it's getting power and ground and all that good stuff.

its a 93 Integra LS. Do you happen to know where the relay is? When I get off work Im gonna check the relay. Also I was told not to run the A/C because it could build up pressure and explode.

If I remember right, the relays are in the front of the car, behind the drivers side headlight by the condensor fan.

Thanks again for your help. I picked up a relay and everthing seems to be working now. I just think its weird because right before this I had a problem with the car overheating and it was the relay for the other fan. Seems as if they both went out at the same time. I hope nothing that I did caused that.
