Question about OBD1, would i bennefit from it?
I have a '98 GS w/CAI, cat-back Apexi N1, hi-flo cat, advanced timing 2 degrees. i was wondering if i would gain much power if i switched to and OBD1 ecu and chipped it? and i will also be getting turbo in a few months. should i switch ecu's and get it chipped, or just keep mine? thanks.
yes...but no...
you will be able to do more things to car, ie. chipped ecu, hondata, open pipe/test pipe, etc.
as of instant horsepower gains, i would say slim if any are noticable. maybe 5, more like 3...

OBD1 would give u more options if you're planning on doing major mods to you car...the emissions aren't restrictive as the obd2 ecu's...since you're going turbo you're probably better off with obd1 with hondata or some other standalone with proper tuning
