I am sure this is an 06-08, but seller says 09. Now I am no pro with this gen civic so I guess I could be wrong..

 

Yes, it's an FG2.1, 2006-2008.

 

It's an '09, look at the fog light housings. The '06-'08 fogs were inside the main air tunnel, the '09s+ were at the corners. Unless the owner did a full '09 front end conversion this is a 2009+ coupe.

How can you tell? The coupes are harder to distinguish than the sedans. It looks like the owner took great pains to turn his older model into a newer one, so why do it? Is it because he is using '06-'08 wheels? or is there a tell tale in the spoiler design?

 

Ok, a little more research on my behalf and I can say without a doubt, I was wrong, this is an '06 - '08 Si coupe. The '09-'11 coupe fogs were in a semi-supported housing that was body colour-matched. The car shown above has fog housings like the '09 - '11 Si sedan and this is clearly not like the coupe of that generation.

 

The front grill, lip, and wheels are giveaways too.

 

Looks like a 06-08. The wheels are 06-08 also.

 

What gave it away? Was it the five people above you saying the same thing?

 

I got the same year vehicle (06-08), unless he swapped the front grill to a older year model it looks like a 06-08. Also the fog lights are different I believe, so you are correct. And the fact that so many others share the same opinion as you, you PRO!

 

why dont u just get the vin #?

 

You can tell it's an aspen because of the way it is.
