Si - Another two year coupe?
Anyone think that this coupe, will be like the last Si Coupes? Limited years? I'd be thrilled if they made them an only 06-07 models, and went back to hatches. Anyone else?

Most people seem to have liked the hatches better, at least around here. I'm a coupe guy myself. Loved the 99-00 SI, my friend has one (just wrecked it, lucky it wasnt totalled) and it inspired me to look into them, and now I drive one. :D

Doubt it. I don't think Honda has ever released a new car with a 2-year production cycle, simply because of the economics. That is, the first two years of the production run pay for the R&D, tooling costs, etc, then the next two years are profit. The 99-00 Si required little if any additional research, since it had already been done separately on all the components. Even the "exclusive" paint options were already available on other models (EBP on the CRV and Prelude).
The reason the 99-00 Si coupe only lasted two years was that the 6th-gen civic was due for replacement in '01. The 01-05 Si did not sell nearly as well as expected (a few of them sat on the lot at my dad's dealership long enough to need two oil changes before they were purchased), yet Honda kept it around for the full cycle.
Why, if I may ask, would you be thrilled if the new Si was only around for 2 years? Exclusivity is great for resale value, but I'd hate to have something unfortunate happen to my car 3 years down the road, and then be unable to replace it (if I liked it, that is).
My current car is the somewhat rare; The '03 Nissan SE-R has a short production run (the 04 came early), and it had a nicer interior than the 02, but without the ugly nose of the 04-06 models. Resale value still sucks though.

exterior wise I like the Ep3 way better, but what's on the inside plus the 200 horsies I like the FG si way better!
