Default Alarm Going Off 97 Si..HELP!!

Battery went dead on my 97 Si so I removed it to charge and put it back in but now the alarm is going off---the horn is not sounding (yes it works) but the lights flash as soon as you open a door and unable to start. Hood and trunk are closed, as are all the doors. Cycling the door lock with the key from the outside does nothing to disarm. Nor on passenger side...tried several times.
Tried locking and unlocking from inside with key on, nothing---looked for a switch of some kind under the dash and nothing. Theres some type of audiovox chock detector on the steering column??
Small red led in the center of the column cover on top by the gauges--flickers with the alarm.

I need to use ,my car!!! Cant start it and not sure what to do next.
I have heard the factory security is on top of the factory cd player....i have an aftermarket i was going to install anyways will just unplgging the connector disable the security? Couldnt find any kind of a security fuse or anything...
help please!

First you need to see whats alarm is keeping the car from starting. You say you have a audiovox in the cst. What does the remote say.

If you have an Audiovox shock sensor, it is a good bet you already have an aftermarket alarm, [unless someone, somehow added the shock sensor to the stock alarm].

The alarm will trigger when batt. is connected if it was armed when batt. went dead, some alarms always go off when batt. is connected, read below for "quite start up".

Try this, turn the ign. switch on before you connect the batt. see if that works.

If not, let the siren run, [or lights flash] untill it/they stop, [alarming cycle] then try the remote control to disarm.

If one of the above works, find the valet/program button so you can over ride the system if you have a problem again.94
