92 accord tcm code 7
i have been working on a 92 accord ex. i first had cel come on with code 43. replaced fuel filter and checked fuel pump. ok. battery died and cleared the code so im not sure if the 43 issue was fixed. but now d4 is blinking 7. car is only using 2nd and 4th gear i believe. i pulled the tcm out and observed no burnt spots and no leaks in caps. r42 and 43 tested within limits. checked the solenoids and they are within the limits also and clicked when power was applied to pins. also washed screens just in case.
Do i need to drive for awhile and see IF the cel comes back on and continue troubleshooting possible pgm issues? or could the tcm and solenoids test ok and there still be a problem with them? im not sure what to do right now and im hoping the transmission isnt gone.
any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

The code is for a faulty shift circuit so it should be an electrical problem. You should test the solenoid when it is hot. The most common problem is a bad tcm, you might want to hit the junkyard and try that.
