Fuel pump wiring.
I'm running twin external pumps. (Walbro 225 feeding bosch 044)
The stock fuel pump wiring doesn't look too impressive.
I'm going to be hard wiring the pumps with a direct feed from the battery, but don't want to use a relay. I'm just going to have a large switch.
Do I need a relay if I'm going to hard wire them?
Any info/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The way I see it, the relay just allows a high voltage circuit to be turned on by a low voltage circuit. I'm not using oe wiring, and I don't mind switching the pumps on every time I get in the car. Is there not just as much chance of it shorting out using a relay as using a switch?
I like to see your car spray fuel all over the place and burst into a mad raging flame as you forget to shut off the switch and leave it running while your parked and sleeping. Every car has a relay and its for that exact purpose, because people are idiots who forget.

Good point!
Thanks for the input
