Burning my own ecu chips what will it really take?
Well im really new at the tuning chip thing but instead of me having to send off my chip every time i want to make a change if im not happy what will i need to do to be able to reprogram my chip on my own?
Please keep in mind i don't want to change fuel maps or any detailed thing s like that that will be my tuners job.
Im just saying examples like launch rpm, idle speeds, rev limiter, things like that i can do at home that doesn't cause much down time or have to pay anyone for.
Is everything i need to get started still cheaper then buying the s300 system?
Thanks for any help

Crome- burn chips
Others no chip burning
The complete system mounts inside ecu
So if u gonna use crome you just need the eprom burner and crome free
Can be bought from moates or xenocron. About 80 bucks or so

Like I said before, you are much better off with quality software like hondata or neptune etc.
For a newbie I would stick to what they are saying above. For someone who likes to swim in black water you can pretty much do the other stuff with no support.

Everything you have listed is up to the tuner itself. The only thing you should have control over, is the launch rpm but in all reality the launch rpm is all for show anyways. If you really knew how to race you do not need/want it. No bashing intended[/QUOTE]

Yeah, you're right. Traction control and launch control are of no use. That's why the FIA went ahead and banned them in F1, to keep those pesky ricers from showing off.
