Intake had oil inside What?!
Today I painted my AEM CAI flat black looks good, I'll post pics later. So obviously I had to take off my CAI. So I look at every thing, and to my surprise I find oil in the upper part of the CAI.
As far as I could tell the oil enter the intake through the breather hose. I saw an oil trace through the hose and saw oil residue on the inside of the pipe where the breather hose ports with the intake. The oil residue went to the rubber coupling that attaches CAI to the throttle body and stopped right there. So what in the world would have caused oil to enter the intake via the breather hose?
My thoughts:
-I ran 10w-30 Mobil 1 oil for one oil change this summer, (fact that the oil molecules are smaller, might have something to do with it.)
----------
-I installed the CAI correctly and am every confident in my work.
-All connection are tight.
-Never did the check engine light come on.
Lets figure this one out.

also know as blowback, or, if you don't want to spend the extra $ on a catch can, go buy one of those little breather filters from Autozone. i had one, and it worked.
