Brakes work fine but get soft when braking hard
I tried to search for this but had no luck.
My question pertains to a '98 Accord (EX I believe, it is fully loaded with V6 and 4 wheel disc brakes but I'm not 100% sure). The car had sat for a year or so when I got it and a rear caliper was sticking. I put 2 new calipers and rotors on it and it stops like a dream now but if I am almost stopped and hit the pedal hard (nothing excessive) it will get soft and pulsate as if the abs is engaging even on perfectly dry pavement. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

You bleed the system correctly? Theres a way it has to be done with ABS, also did you pump the brakes a few hundred times after replacing the claipers to seat the pads?
If you and have bled all four brakes properly try bleeding the brake master cylinder. Look it up to do it properly and be sure to not let any air in.

There used to be silicone brake fluid. Supposed to be higher temp. It was used a lot around the SCCA tracks. We never much liked it and used Castrol Dot 4. But that was back in the day.
That's incorrect and the LOL needs reversing. Acutally, there is Castor Oil and Mineral oils that are still used for brake fluids -- under the DOT 1, DOT 2, and more. Any competent mfr of brake fluids fluids could elaborate.
