as the topic states. is it safe to introduce my motor to FI if i have forged pistons that's causing piston slap? i really want to be able to run at least 7psi and max out at 10psi. would i be safe running 7 psi?

 

piston slap can just be part of having aftermarket pistons, FI does not relate with it.

 

but on stock pistons it is a sign of loose pistons. I've got a little bit of slap on stock internals and im boosting 8lbs

 

As the experts tell me.. you sacrifice ring life but there aren't any other serious effects other than noise...

 

cool, so i'm guessing it's safe to go ahead and boost. oh well, if anything goes wrong the worse that could happen would probably be blown rings. hopefully these Total Seal rings can stand up to their name.
