Default Quick ? - Problems with continually running the fan?

is there a problem with having the fan hooked up to a switch? and having it continually run?

my logic says there shouldn't be a problem, but I'm stupid from time to time and just wanted to double check...

I have mine hooked up to my ignition switch, so when I hit accessory; it comes on. I see no "negative" effects as of yet, but never know.

Anyone actually see any problems with this?

I had mine on the accessory switch and the fan burned out now I have it on a toggle switch and I have to watch my temp gauge.

I've had my fan always on for almost a year now.. no problems yet. just takes a while for the engine to warm up on those cold days.
