Default Spark plugs distributor cap and coil question

I have a 97 accord I was thinking about changing some parts out on and found some things I wasn't sure if they were worth the cost first off are accel spark plugs any good? Or stick to ngk? What about cap and rotor, stock or upgrade to msd? Or maybe accel? Same with coil, stock msd or accel? Does any of it make noticeable difference? Or maybe there's another brand I haven't seen that might?

NGK plugs.....almost any cap and rotor brand will work. Nothing gained from msd cap and rotor...ok might last 5k more than stock but is the price worth it? Same with coil....why? Leave the OEM and drive.

I highly doubt that power increase will be noticeable, but it's your money spend it as you like.

msd wont last longer than stock.

best stuff is stock, stock and stock. ngk works well though and nearly stock equivalent. for some reason i have been able to use stock wires that still test good at 150k miles on em.

I picked up NGK sparks and wires, along with MSD distributor cap & rotor. Installing them soon.

I'll let you guys know if I notice any difference in using the MSD vs. stock

Didn't really think power would be noticeable but mpgs every little bit helps with these gas prices

Just remember for a true test.....you'd need to install new OE stuff. Replacing worn out plugs, cap and rotor with new stuff and saying it is an improvement.....not in my book.

Right now I'm running Bosch Iridium plugs. As far as wires go,the larger diameter wire, the higher the conductance value. They cost $$$$ though, more than OEM.

Bosch is garbage, period. I would replace the coil for peace of mind though.

I've never used Bosh so I though I'd try them. What are the issues with them?

Never had any luck with Bosch on my Hondas. NGK or ND always worked best on the Prelude and Accord. Accel, at least used to be, is mfg by NGK (U-Groove), just paying too much for the name and cool yellow paint. I am with the others, OEM for cap, rotor and wires (although NGK wires have served me well in the past). HTH
