Door locks don't use same key as ignition.
Just bought a 89 civic si and I noticed the pass side door lock doesn't work and the driver side is different than the ignition key.
Is it better/easier to just replace all 3 from another car? How hard would this be and what exact parts do I need? I've never really had to deal with an issue like this before.
Thanks for any advice

If you have the key to the ignition, use that key for all the other stuff.
Take all your locks out (L + R doors and trunk) to a local key smith and have them re-key the locks to fit the ignition key.

Thanks I will try that.
The pass side is still broken where it doesn't even lock. Do I need to replace the door handle assembly?

My 91 hatch is the same way. But for the passenger door when you put the key in to unlock the lock just spins like its broken. Does suck though cause I always get the wrong dam key when I got unlock the door.
Yea I just got my key copied on oem honda key I think I might just rekey my locks change the wafer on the locks or shave them down so my key works on them. If I get the key from the dealer all I have to do is my ignition so I might go that route but damn my new key will be useless lol
