Default Hate electric problems, no spark

95 LS
I have no multi meter so =(.

Took cyln#1 wire out & put a spark plug in it, tried starting it, no spark. Tested for power at yel/blk wires at ECU, good there. Tested for power at yel/blk wire outside of distributor, also good. Inside the dizzy at the coil test light lit up at + & - ? Not sure if this means the coil is toast or what?

Forgot to mention, new plugs and wires a week ago. Also swaped out coil(used) because the car kept acting like it was losing all power for a fraction of a second while going down the road. Happened once since new old coil. Started it in the morning (below freezing) ran for about 2 min (warming up) and turned itself off. Can smell unburnt fuel coming from the tail pipe. Turn over but no start since.

you need to test resistance of the coil. primary is about 1ohm and secondary about 10Kohms, i believe.
when you crank, does the tach move AT ALL? or is it dead still?

Crap that MFer is expensive. Maybe the one on my extra distributor is good.
Thanks guys, I'll report back if that works.
