Default building a b20vtec should I upgrade my header?

my current setup is an lsvtec 81.5x89 skunk2 stage 2 cams type r intake manifold and tb, running an jg edelbrock header moded with a 2.5in collector. I am on a budget and will using the same head and adding a b20b 84.5 11.5cr rs pistons bottom end, will upgrading to a smsp copy 2L header be worth it or will the edelbrock moded header do just as good? any experience on this topic will be greatly appreciated.thanks

My good friend made 264 whp from his Edelbrock header with the 2.5" collector mod with his 2+ L B-series. Not sure which smsp copy you are referring to but he swapped that out for a hytech rep big tube and made 270+, killed the Edelbrock pretty much throughout the whole powerband.

^That sounds great ,and sounds right ,but as far as the smsp rep from Plm they suck ,i think , you have to remember that smsp (Dave) only makes custom headers made for a certain kind of engine, and they are amazing !
now profab made a good rep ,and any hytech rep big tube are good as well ,then you have toda also good it all comes down to on what your motor like better and flows better with your setup ,
I am currently using a smsp header and I love it ,its work of art a nd the power that it on leashes is fantastic definitely pulled in top end vs a hytech rep but I support the real ,instead of the knock off ,

How much power are you planning to make? I am sure the Edelbrock has no problem supporting 230-240 whp as i've seen it. I would personally just stick with that header for now and spend the 3-500 that you were going to use on that copy somewhere else.
