Default Optional audio install help

Hey everyone i tried installing an optional audio console on my cx and it seems that i cant have the original shift console in place. Is there something special i have to do to make it fit? Do i have to disasemble the cup holder or cut the whole cup holder section off or what? or is there a shift console that i need that doesnt have the cup holders? I didnt get instructions with this or anything and i cant find a write up on installing one

Remove the center shift console, turn upside down, remove the screws that hold the cupholders in place, attach lower audio console bracket in the place of the cup holders.

You will say goodbye to the cup holders. Here's your instructions: http://web.archive.org/web/200905231.../16613_01.html

So i never did mention this but i had it figured out but a friend came over and insisted on trying to put it in for me and broke the plastic cover. I was pretty upset. I tried jb weld and tons of things to fix it with no luck. does anybody know if i was to get a jdm one if i could use the rest of mine with that cover?

Did you try plastic modelling glue?

If going the route of epoxy, you need to find out what kind of plastic it is and then get the epoxy that is made for that material.

JB Weld cold weld is not really made for plastic, it's best suited for cast iron or cast aluminum.

There are different kinds of epoxy for different materials, including different kinds of plastics.
