Hey guys just wondering if anybody needed info on this particular swap am almost done with this swap in my 1999 honda civic lx auto. I am using a 2001 acura integra automatic transmission #SKWA and a b16a motor. Wire from a Ex 99 civic motor mounts driver side and rear braket from a Si and the top transmission mount from a CRV. There is a slight modification u have to do to the frame but it's not something big it's on the bottom of the trans mount there is a grove there just hamer it in a little and the trans will go on. If some one knows how to post pics let me know I'll post what I have. Thanks

Ive done this swap, just it was an b18b1 instead, and use tinypic.com or photobucket.com to add photos.....just copy and paste the img code

It looks like you don't have the engine harness yet. I suggest trying the 00-01 crv engine harness and adding the vtec wires to it.

I haven't added the harness on because I had some things to do during the weekend but I'll up date tomorrow. But the EX harness is a strait bolt on the auto side of the harness all connectors plug up no mods needed.

Even to the square distributor plug, and the 2pin crank sensor? I notice no intake manifold so I'm unsure of what injectors you will use. I guess your main goal is to use the actual auto p30 correct? If so than the crank sensor is probably not needed.

I'm going to assume you're going to use the actual p30 auto ecu? If so than the crank sensor is not needed. Are you going to get a distributor adapter or repin the distributor to work? You might run into the issue of not having the rpm signal to your gauge cluster.

Also what gear selector will you be using?

He shouldnt have to change the gear selector

The civics only have 3 "D" selections where as the integra has 4 "D" gear selections. If he were to even try to use it I'm unsure of how the tranny will react, my assumption is to best try to replicate as much as possible to the integra automatic. I care not for the gear selection indicator inside the cluster.

You are correct! On the engine block side I do have to rep in the the distributor, crank and IAVC from a 3 pin 2 pin

Funny, my old integra i pulled my swap from had the same amount of "D" selectons as the civic it went into


Edit. Ahhhhh. I see now. i did it in an eg which has all 4, where the 96-00 civic only has 3.

You might have to wire in the D4 D3 2 1 properly.

Correct, not only that for the 96-00 it was basically D4, D3, and 1. The jdm ek4 w/ b16a auto had D4, D3, D2, 1.

To correct the OP he's installing a b16a2 automatic, not a b16a. I zoomed in on the engine block.

Transmission is coming from an 00-01 integra. These trannies don't have the kickdown cable, I think thats what it is called.

So I wonder how the OP plans on getting around the integrated ECU/TCU issue.

Curious as well but I'll help him as much as I can because he's my only shot at getting this to work, my funds are needed elsewhere right now. Hopefully once this is done I can request this to be locked and added to the FAQs.

Rywire makes the harness to integrate the tcu, its pricy tho around $300 iirc from the one i did
