How to remove 1995 civic front bulkhead parts.
I have a civic in the process of restoring. Funds is a little short so im planning on removing the part that I need from the donor car myself so the shop wont charge me for removing it. I cant really explain it that well so I will be attaching a pic I found online. THIS IS NOT MY PICTURE. I FOUND IT WHEN I GOOGLED ENGINE BAY FOR 1995 CIVIC. I found this pic on a site called civic-eg.com and the members name is teal_dx. I hope you wont mind of me borrowing your pic. If in any way youre offended feel free to chime in and ill remove the pic. Heres the pic and i made a red outline on the part that I need.

As you can see it goes along the firewall. Is it all held by spot welds and that glue looking sealer? I found a thread here on time but I cant locate it any longer. Help would be greatly
appreciated. thanks.

use a wire wheel or a scotch bright on a grinder to get the seam sealer off. get a spotweld bit. drill out the welds. make sure you dont go through both panels. there are tools to split the two panels. but you should be able to do it with a thicker putty knife and a hammer. a heat gun should help soften up the remaining glue.
chisel out the seam sealer and cut out the spot welds. kind of a crappy area to do so but thats what it takes. make an outline where the strut tower was welded in to and test fit/measure (cross check) to make sure the tower is square in symmetrical points (meaning matching mounting holes and reference points on both sides of car) before you weld the panel in.
to get the seam sealer off, use one of those little torches and heat it up just a lil, its a life saver, then just punch all your spot welds and drill them out with a nice spot weld cutter. DONT GO THRU to the underlying panel!!! then with an air hammer go around and beat the panel your removing. And to weld in a tower like that i would def get the frame dimensions and use a tram gauge. If you dont have access to that, measure off points on the panels to adjacent panels and document that so when u put it back its the same ya know, clamp it all down then weld it up.
