Thinking of brushing clear coat onto freshly painted wheels
I've already sprayed down a few coats, but I feel they just aren't thick enough. If I were to uniformly brush the clear coat on with a foam brush, I think it would be thicker and give more protection for when I go to clean my wheels in the future. Plus that way, I know every nook and cranny is covered. Since they're white, its hard to tell the glossy paint from the clear finish, so there may still be small places in my spokes uncovered by clear.
Thoughts?

What kind of clear coat? You can not do this with urethane paint. I mean, possibly with a very very very slow activator, but I personally wouldn't. Paint guns usually atomize enough to get paint into the nooks and crannies.

Not an expert but you're better off spraying. Even a rattle can will give you a better finish than brushing. If you're already experienced with spraying I would stick with that much easier to get an even finish :-)

OMG i remember about 10 + years ago a guy brushing his sideskirts on his gsr, LMFAO, dont do it man. What kidn of clear are you spraying??? if your worried that much about it, spray 2-3 coats of clear, let it dry, scuff with 1000 or so and re clear with 2-3.
