1997 honda prelude , white smoke from exhaust ?
Hi I'm new here , and I just need some help , My prelude is blowing out white smoke , I checked the oil and its way above low , I live in Florida and its usually cold around this time but now its warm , so the weather can't do that , any suggestions ?
Did you notice if your lude overheated or ran hot lately? Check to see if the white smoke smells "sweet". The "sweet" smell would be from the anti-freeze. When water/anti-freeze mixes with oil, engines often blow white smoke. This can be caused by a warped or cracked head or block.
I have an '01 SH that spits a bit of "white" smoke out on occasion - usually between high-rpm shifts. Didn't notice it until I was following the car on track (wife was driving). Anyway, our SH is typical and consumes oil - "burning" is not exactly right, but it does use it.
