...judging by the way you introduce yourself, you're definitely going to be wasting lots of money. So be careful.
Show some pics/info on how it runs now and some HT'ers will point you to the right direction.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. Fix any existing problems, do a tune-up don't be an ignorant and naive typical honda owner. Don't give Civic's a worst name, they're already reputably retarded. Good luck!

If you spend around $4,000 wisely you can probably have:
$2,000 - tuned/reliable turbo setup. (upgraded internals for the D-series block) ~300-500HP
$1,500 - upgraded suspension + wheels (go for koni/GC, and grab some wheels with quality tires)
$500 miscellaneous like:
alarm system
comfortable front seats (grab from another Honda, like DelSol, S2k, 97+ integra, RSX etc;.)
aesthetics: front/rear lip, window visors, etc;

Alright heres the story. I was in a wreck a few years ago and this summer im getting around $15k and ive been planning on building my honda since ive got it. I think about what im going to do to it for a while now. The body is in good shape. I already have the suspension planned out cause it needs some work (recent owner.. :/.. ) But i just want some opinions on what i should do motor wise. My dream was always a k swap but thats a little expensive. Ive always loved gsr's and ive learned quite a bit about b series and i wanna do a nice all motor build. Ive built plenty of chevy motors and swapped many but this will be my first honda build. So thats just a little info so i dont seem like one of those ignorant kids.

Please read the engine swap links in the FAQs sticky. Also check out the Hybrid forum and the K Motor subforum in the All Motor forum.

Ask Bisimoto to build you an NA motor. He currently holds world records for one of his NA builds

Thank you for the kind words!

Another choice would be building an H2B setup. This would consist of an H22 engine along with an adapter plate kit to connect to a B-series transmission. Give me a call at the number in my signature and I can help you out with some options!

with $8K you could go all out Crazy and have a Solid Start on a J32 swap.

^ h22 plat forms can run circles around all motor k series engines and vise versa!!!

Bang for your buck = h22 bolted to a b16 trans

Does anyone know how much it would cost for a complete k20 swap? Just so i know how much money i could put towards cams, clutch, etc.

it also depends where you get the K20

if you find a good auto auction you can get a totaled RSX for around $1000.

buddy just paid $1200 for a 05 RSX Type S at auction.

the back end of the car was compleatly Gone from a crash and it had 85K on the cluster. so that kills alot of the price and you get a tone of extra goodies to sell

the pix is Not of a Honda but it as close as i could find to show how bad the RSX was
