Intermitten ABS light
Hi,
I have a 95 Accord EX 2.2L that is having ABS light problems. The problem is very intermittent and only comes on upon starting. The error code is 1-8 (high pressure).
Here is what I have tried so far:
I have tried bleeding the ABS multiple times. There were no air in the system. The error would be solved immediately (ABS light would go out) after each bleed. If it comes on/off upon start-up, it would stay that way the entire drive.
Since the problem is intermittent, I don't know the cause. Could there be debris in the system that block the passages? I only get clear liquid every time I flush the ABS. Do I have to flush the regular brake lines too? Is there some sensor that I can check?
Thanks for all your help.

Have you cleared the code? If not, disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, reconnect, see if code is clear.

If I don't clear bleed/clear the code the ABS light will remain the entire time the engine is on. The next time the engine is turned on, the ABS light might clear or stay on.
All I know is that during its initial check upon engine startup, the ABS system would sometimes find a fault (probably high pressure error).
As I indicated, it is an intermittent problem so I don't know what the exact problem is and how to correct it. I am just guessing that there is some debris in the system that sometimes would not allow the valve to close to maintain pressure during initial startup. There is no leak or motor overrun.
It's all during initial system test upon engine startup.

Since its a high pressure code there is a chance it could be a bad pressure switch or an internal problem with the accumulator assemble. I would say try to find an assembly in the junk yard.
