so I have this long block at home for a while and i think will do some build to it for fun, i hear that Y5 head (P2J-5) has a Vtec-e, so my question is if i build this engine for turbo will this head cause me problem? can i run a aftermarket intake manifold in it and tune ECU for this engine late on? still dont know what car will it be in!

Leave that engine alone or sell it and get one suitable for building/boosting. Don't even bother putting the matching head on it.

 

How like that? Its not good that engine? I have been seen other people using it for turbo and say its good

 

Don't understand then? If you've seen other people use them then follow what they have already done.

 

y5 fuel economy motor with lean burn + turbo = melted pistons,burnt valves,wasted money

 

tear it down and put it back together for the learning experience. dont do it expecting anything more than that.

 

So that head is not good for tune right! What about if i put a regular vtec head a P2J-4 came out from a Y8? Will be better right?
