Hey guys I have a 97 Prelude and am experiencing some issues. I'm really good at wiring, I even make my own tuck harnesses, but this one has me stumped. The alternator went out about 2 weeks ago so I replaced it. Then 4 days ago the alternator went out again along with fuse 14. Took the alternator to auto zone and it failed all tests, so I bought a brand new one. Installed it and replaced the fuse....... 5 times. Every time I would drive the car or let it idle for about 4 minutes the fuse would blow. Took it to auto zone to get it tested and the blk/yellow wire under the dash by the computer fried. I replaced the bit of wire and unplugged both fuse boxes to check for anymore bad wiring, plugged everything back in and now the car won't start. Can't even hear the fuel pump prime. What do I do?

What wire was burnt? You aren't giving us much info. Get a wiring diagram to see what runs off that fuse, and start tracing your wires. You got a massive stereo killing your alternators?
The helms manual has trouble trees for troubleshooting electrical issues. I would look there.

Here's what the wire runs and fuses through fuse 14. http://www.preludeonline.com/f60/nee...iagram-246845/ I can't find a helms manual anywhere local and don't have a way to order online
Well there's a long list attached to that fuse. There are a lot of under hood wires there, so I'd start looking around your engine bay for some damaged wiring. One of those sensors or solenoids could also be shorted. Start with them all unplugged and plug them in one by one till the fuse blows. You could also hook up an ammeter while doing this.
EDIT: There is a link to the helms manual in the FAQ section of this forum.

Now fuse 4 ACG-s fuse (whatever the hell that is) blows as soon as you try to replace it. So now I have two fuse issues

All the wires you tuck, make sure there isn't any wire/s that open. I am sure you tape it good, but it could come loose. If your method of wire tuck is that way, cutting wires and connect them (I personally wouldn't do that), then I would go from there. gl.
Apparently not as good at wiring as you thought, Find a wire diagram.. In not going to spoon feed you but use goggle and type in free helms honda... Appartly you have some bad shorts so that smashes your braging

First of all I didn't do a fckn wire tuck on this car its totally stock. Second none of the cars I've ever tucked or made a wire tuck harness for have had any problems. So that rules out your theory, smartass

I just thought about this. Three weeks ago my car kept dying so that led me to discover that the 90amp battery fuse was replaced by the owner with a broken piece of wire. When we went to jump the car, the jumpers were already hooked up to my battery, my friend touched the negative jumper to their own positive which is what fried the first alternator. Last week that alternator took a **** along with the fuse 14 so I replaced the alternator with a brand new one. I'm guessing the whole reverse jumper situation is what started all this Bullshit but then again makes me wonder why the previous owner had blown the battery fuse.....
