load detector fuse
Hey guys, what I thought was my alternator (just changed it) something else seems to be blowing my load detector fuse.
I put a fuse in and with a min or two..it blows again.
Does anyone have an idea why might this be happending?
I also dont have any amps in my car...
Thanks

Re: load detector fuse (_skitzo_)
Because an amount of current in excess of what the fuse was rated for is trying to be pulled through it. A short in the wiring generally causes the fuse to blow instantly. It sounds like a device that's powered off that fuse is taking a **** after a min or two.

Re: load detector fuse (rc2o6)
It falls under the alt/sp sensor fuse. I had this fuse blow many times, and it ended up being a second o2 sensor harness heater wire shorting to ground, because I no longer have a use for it. (OBD1 B16A)
Check any wiring you may have done in the past, thats where I fould my problem after accusing my alternator.
