I turned on my car today and found that both of my headlights went out. Does anyone know what I should do to fix this? I find that its odd they both went out.. I just changed the head lights a few months ago..

 

It may be that you have a short somewhere. I find it odd, as well, that both blew at the same time.

If that's not it, it may be the switch itself.

Is it just the low beams that aren't working? Have you tried the high beams?

 

What year is your car? Does the high beam and everything else work except for low beam? My brothers 2001 civic, both light went out, everything but the low beam works. It was a recall from honda.

My car is a 2005 civic, it's just the low beam that is out.. High beam works as well as the yellow lights. I tried the relays (switching with another one) and that didnt get it to work. Where is the switch? Thanks

 

I was referring to the headlight switch, but I don't think that's it since your car is an '05. This was more a problem with the 2001-2003 Civics.


Have you tested the harness connectors at the (low beam) bulbs to see if you're getting power to them? I can send you a diagram if that'll help you.

 

Turns out it was just that the head lights blew... I'm still puzzled that they both did so at the same time.. It's fixed now. Thanks everyone for the help
