I think this is technical if not sorry ahead of time.

Basically bought the car a while ago and the trunk lock was always broken but it didn't bother me that every time I opened the lock I had to push it back to the outside. ( not completely flush with the piece)

Well yesterday I was opening it up and I noticed I just opened it without the key being in all the way (Giant red flag) So I did some poking today and noticed that it opened because the entire lock moves with the key not just the slot?

So I looked inside and found that the piece of metal plate that bolts into the body is cracked clean across about 1cm from the bolt itself. . I held the lock in place and used the key and it works normally but is there any way, short of welding or buying a new lock assembly, to fix this issue? Super glue I tired but surface was too dirty(try again after cleaning?)

You're gonna have to order a new one or pull one from another car. No fixing it.
