best spark plugs
so my tunner here said to me that use iridium spark plug on my setup isnt good for me...im in the process to change them...what is the best plug i can install???now im with bkr7e standar plug gapped to .32..and boost to 18 psi with meth
that does not make sense Iridium works better than stock ?!? (BKR7IEX )
but not the bkr7iex-11 way to big of a gap .45

the reason...ishhh when he told me that i just dont listen him annymore about tunning,,so i always used bkr7iex-11 (regapped to .28) in my other car...this is why i was confused...

is not a good plug to use as your stressing the plug to get the gap you need
try useing BKR7IEX its .32 to start with so its only a small adjustment to .28
^^ this is the same thing i recommend to the JRSC guys and use myself

I normally just go with BKR7E there like 1.38 Each....
Is there really any benefit going with iridium? Also at what point would you say a heat range 8 would be recomended?
im at 480whp now w/ small amount of no2. i would think im at the upper limits of the 7 heat range....Debating on dropping to the bkr8e...possibly iridium.

Going to stick with the 7 heat range.
Old school turbo knowledge said iridiums were bad for FI. We've proven this to be wrong and made more power vs standard electrode at same gap. Unfortunately the iridium plugs are 4-5x the cost of standard plugs.
Exactly. I tend to change between the 4554 and the 2668s like you stated in the previous thread. But for street use, even the BK7s can still work.
For racing I use an even more aggressive GReddy plug.
At what power level would you suggest to upgrade to the 8's? i know im at the limits of the 7's but its a street car so figured i stick to the 7's.
Im thinking i would be fine with the 7's, but once im using NO2 im sure id be benefiting from the 8's.

Also the grounding strap is more for reading timing correct? The burnt threads at the end of the plug are suppose to dictate heat range.. 2-3 threads ideal...4-5-6 you need a colder plug
